Salvete omnes,
last weekend I was able to fully see the illustrations maestro Venceslav Cerny painted for the Czech version of Henryk Sienkiewicz' famous novel - Ogniem i Mieczem, English- With Fire and Sword . Czech version was titled Ohnem a mecem.
I 'corralled' some of them for your viewing pleasure.
I wonder if the color - painted - plates survived somewhere in Czechia?
