Master of the Benediktbeurer Kreuzigung

 Salvete Omnes,

Good Friday - Day of Crucifixion of Our Lord circa 30 A,D., a little less than 2000 years ago.



So we will travel to circa 1455AD when unknown master painted this Crucifixion for the Benediktbeuern Abbey, in Bavaria.  The painter was contemporary to:



Konrad Witz  

and

Master of der Darmstädter Passion.

Babenberger Stammbaum 1492AD - bridles

a short but with plenty of imagery - the bridles from the late XV century Holy Roman Empire, more precisely from inside of the Roman Catholic  Klosterneuburg Abbey, where Hans Part and other painters painted a family tree triptych known as the  Babenberger Stammbaum (the Babenberg Family Tree) circa 1489-92.



The bridles - a whole array of curb-bits, double reins and headstalls:
