Salvete Omnes,
and we are back to canter across another splendid meadow from the Golden Age of Illustrations- by Czech master Venceslav Cerny.
Henryk Sienkiewicz, popular Polish writer of the XIX & XX century, continued the adventures of his protagonists of 'Ogniem i Mieczem'(With Fire and Sword) in the three-volume set titled 'Potop' ( The Deluge), adding a new set of heroes - Andrzej Kmicic et al., and as with the previous novel his books were translated into the Czech language, titled Potopa.
Do enjoy this wonderful illustrations of the first volume (the three volume set ) - again illustrated by Czech maestro of the brush and pen Venceslav Cerny.
