Salvete omnes,
a quick entry on this sunny day(well , to be, still early morning):
this early, 1708 AD, Italian treaty on the cavalry of the period - Il soldato a cavallo, ovvero, Trattato militaire del servizio attuale della cavalleria - and some very interesting engravings contained therein. Written by Carlo Alessandro de Rougeterre (castellano della fortezza di Siena  & sergente maggiore dicavalleria comandante dei carabinieri nello Stato di Siena  ), engraved by Vincent Hubert, publishedin from Siena; the book was dedicated to the grand duke of Tuscany - Gian Gastone de'Medici.

Uhlans at Cavaliada

Salvate Omnes,
The Horse show Cavaliada at Krakow saw a troop of the Polish Legion Uhlans presenting their cavalry drill  after the Austro-Hungarian regulations.

Film przedstawia pokaz Grupy Rekonstrukcyjnej "Kasztanka" podczas krakowskiej Cavaliady, który odbył się 2 marca 2019 roku. Ułani prezentują elementy musztry według regulaminu austro-węgierskiego w szyku ósemkowym. Ubrani są w mundury 1. Pułku Ułanów Legionowych.

The film shows the Grupa Rekonstrukcyjna 'Kasztanka' (Reconstruction Group  'Chestnut-mare' - after the famous Jozef Pilsudski horse )presentation during the Krakow Cavaliada that took place on March2, 2019. Here the Uhlans are demonstrating the elements of cavalry drills following the Austro-Hungarian cavalry regulations for the 8-horse troop. The Uhlans are wearing the uniforms and using the equipment of the 1st Uhlan Regiment of Polish Legions.
