continuing from the last post - Kofun Period in Japan

let us travel to old Japan - some 1700-1400 years ago of the Kofun period.

the very beginning of the Japanese civilization and the equestrian elements of their culture - horses, armor, and swords and warrior elite (early samurai)  under the celestial emperors.

Korea Kingdoms and their horsemen

Salvete Omnes,

Korea (the whole peninsula back then)  - almost 1,800 through 1000 years ago - was the land of horsemen, horse archers and armored warriors and their horses.

 

 

The  warriors  - of Gaya Confederacy, Goguryeo Kingdom , Silla etc -  wore metal cuirasses and helmets and were armored lance wielding  horsemen and horse archers.
