Cheyenne Update

I did some work on this image, especially moving his shield under his arm, note there was no handgrip or strap for the arm to slid through, and I changed the angle of the shield etc.

Hello Darius!
For the moment Sorry for my bad English J
Have bumped by chance into your block! Find him rather good.
Particularly Your drawing of the Cheyenne Red Shield has well succeeded.
Könnstet you such a thing also from a Cheyenne coyote / Kit Fox Warrior sign?
I would have there material about it.

hey Lemmy,
thanks for your comments :)
Lately I have not done anything Cheyenne but for saddles, bridles, and horse painting :)
Coyote Warriors are well described here Dorsey, page 20 and on -,+The+Cheyenne:+Ceremonial+Organization&printsec=frontcover&source=bl&ots=974YCR0S10&sig=bXnsnoUYV3TYakcYPgWbe1P6HPI&hl=en&ei=56ieStepCMuf8QazkYSlAw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1#v=onepage&q=&f=false
I have been thinking to draw all the Cheyenne warrior societies - the book on Horse Masks has some beautiful and painstaking reconstructions of these warriors done by Winfield Coleman.
also a nice book here We, the Northern Cheyenne People : our land, our history, our culture
also, the a must read 'Societies of the Plains Indians', Volume 11
By Clark Wissler
until the next time my friend
