today is the Election Day - today finally the new POTUS will be elected to assume power on January 20, 2021.
I had been thinking about posting today, if I should post anything today - and without hesitation I figured that the photos of the monuments showing the famous Civil War and Indian Wars, American cavalryman and soldier, general Philip Sheridan, would be most appropriate for this important day, the most important manifestation of the American democracy, our Constitution and our liberties, rights, duties and freedoms.

Nota bene the horse general Sheridan was riding during the war and later is known, it was a Morgan stallion called Rienzi (later Winchester), and Rienzi/Winchester has been preserved and the horse can be viewed at the National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C.
