Women on horseback in Jan Siberechts' paintings

Salvete Omnes,

Today we will do a long slow canter into the imaginary and real world of pastures, markets, carts and women riding or driving horses etc as seen by a brush master Jan Siberechts of Antwerp.
Jan Siberechts was a Flemish painter who eventually settled in England upon invitation of George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham in 1672.

He painted 'universal' landscapes with Flemish themes, and one of his recurring image is woman riding and driving a horse pulling a cart laden with farms produce or foods etc  for the market, with numerous cows and other farm animals, often driving their carts through a river or fording a river or creek/stream.
